Accountant
Position
Summary:
Responsible for applying consistent accounting principles and procedures to record and analyze financial information, maintain the integrity of the financial records, provide transparent and accurate financial information to Sr. Management, prepare accurate and timely financial reports, and ensure adherence to appropriate accounting control procedures.
Job Duties:
- Accounting functions and journal entries related to month end close responsibilities
- Perform daily electronic desktop deposits and maintain check log
- Daily positive pay review through CEO (Commercial Electronic Office)
- Assist with bank reconciliation process utilizing Blackline software
- Work with IT to maintain Concur application used for employee expense reports
- Point-of-contact for questions related to Concur
- Oversee the write-off process for accounts sent to collections
- Review of stale dated check register for unclaimed property disposition
- Prepare monthly/quarterly balance sheet reconciliations of asset and liability accounts
- Assist with applicant screening process and review RPA (Robotic Process Automation) exceptions
- Prepare ad-hoc reports as needed
- Assist with audit requests as needed
- Leverage technology to improve current processes
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications / Other Expectations:
- BA or BS in Accounting
- 1-3 years accounting experience, preferably in Real Estate Management
- Experience using SAP a plus
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and experience in report writing
- Ability to effectively communicate in a fast-paced, collaborative environment across the organization
- Strong organizational skills; detail-oriented; self-motivated; ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Good judgment and problem-solving skills
